ftp-upload software package provides put files with FTP from a script, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ftp-upload
ftp-upload is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ftp-upload package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ftp-upload *
You will get with ftp-upload package name, version, architecture and description in a table
